Consent Minisite Unveiled By The BoyTalk Project For First 2020 Campaign

With the recent occurrence of major rape and sexual assault cases in India, the BoyTalk Project's campaign comes at a time where education surrounding consent is direly needed.

On Friday January 3rd, Aangan Trust's new initiative, the BoyTalk Project unveiled a 9-post Instagram campaign and mini-website seeking to educate social media users about issues of consent. With the recent occurrence of major rape and sexual assault cases in India, the BoyTalk Project's campaign comes at a time where education surrounding consent is direly needed.


This campaign mini-site contains important information about types of consent as well as necessary elements with regards to consent. Educating the next generation of boys and men through social media is imperative in combatting sexual assault and harassment.


The BoyTalk Project's mini-site also strives to dispel misleading narratives about consent, including correcting the record on issues such as intoxicated and implied consent. This interactive campaign also contains informative materials explaining clearly why consent must be freely-given, coherent, clearly expressed and ongoing. The website also contains a "consent checklist", an easy and fun resource to use when making sure that complete consent is received.
